Fees

Forest Family Practice is a private billing practice, providing booked appointments with GP specialists for a fee. We are not a walk-in Bulk Billing Medical Centre. We do provide some discounts for Concession Card Holders (Pensioners & Low Income Health Care Cards only) and children aged 12 yrs and over on all days except Saturday.

All billing arrangements are at the discretion of the Doctor. We are able to lodge your Medicare claim electronically when you pay your bill.

For cancellations we require 24 hours notice as a fee of $65 will apply

Do you Bulk Bill?

Medicare is a universal, federal government insurance scheme that provides rebates to Australian patients to subsidise the cost of health care. Unfortunately, most rebates no longer cover the cost of providing quality health care. Booked appointments will attract a gap payment in most cases. We continue to provide bulk billing to our Veterans and all children under 12 years.

Are there any other options?

We encourage our patients with long term health conditions or who are over 75 years of age, to consider booking either a GP Management Plan or Health Assessment. These consultations will require a longer appointment but can be provided with no gap or out of pocket fee. These appointments are used to plan for and provide routine care.
